Microclimate

When the silicone is placed on the skin, a microclimate environment is formed between the skin and the silicone. It is this very unique environment that helps the skin heal itself. Scientists and doctors call this closed, breathable microclimate a occlusion.

Theory of alleviating scars:

Scars contain a lot of plasma proteins, easily causing interstitial edema of the skin, resulting an increase of pressure on the scars. Due to the proliferation of vascular fibrous tissue, scars or fleshy hyperplasia are then formed. After using Line Refine pads, the water content of the skin’s stratum corneum increases.　Besides, there is an increase of the permeability of interstitial water-soluble proteins and light exudates.

The causes of wrinkles can be divided into two categories:

One is the dynamic pattern, which is generated by repeated muscle movements, like the laugh lines around the mouth. The other is the static pattern, which is formed by the environment, living habits and aging. Static lines are visible when the facial muscles relax. As time goes on, those lines turn deeper. Because the skin loses moisture and collagen.

When you grow older, wrinkles appear in the epidermis and dermis. It takes a longer time for aging skin cells to differentiate. That is, the repair power slows down. Therefore, the dermis layer gradually becomes thinner, and the epidermis layer loses moisture and produces fine lines.

Furthermore, collagen in the dermis begins to disintegrate. As the skin gradually loses its support, it becomes inelastic. Finally, there is a loss of fat from the subcutaneous tissue. It makes the skin look sunken and no longer chubby and healthy.
